What Is ClearCorrect?

Discreet Solution to Crooked Teeth

ClearCorrect is similar to other well-known methods of clear aligner therapy, such as Invisalign. This treatment does not use metal brackets and wires to correct your smile. Instead, a series of custom-crafted “clear aligners” are used to improve your smile. These aligners look similar to a retainer or a night guard used to protect against teeth grinding.

Each set of aligners is designed to gently shift the position of the teeth, similarly to braces. Patients will usually wear aligners for at least 20-22 hours per day, removing them only to eat and drink and to brush and floss.

In most cases, patients will switch to a new set of aligners about every 2 weeks, and come to see Dr. Waibel every 4-6 weeks to get their next series of aligners and to get a quick checkup.

Am I A Candidate For ClearCorrect?

Find out if its right for you

If your mouth is healthy and free of major oral diseases, and you have minor-to-moderate orthodontic issues, ClearCorrect at Nova Cosmetic Dentistry may be a good option for you.

Your mouth must be healthy because diseases like tooth decay and gum disease can cause complications when your teeth are moving. These issues must be resolved before you get treatment.

Similarly, you may not be a good candidate if you have extensive, serious orthodontic issues. Compared to braces, ClearCorrect is not as versatile or effective for treating major bite issues or extremely crooked teeth, so you may need traditional metal braces to treat these problems.

What Are The Benefits Of Clear Aligners?

Learn How they Help You

Compared to traditional metal braces, clear aligners like ClearCorrect have a number of great benefits. First, they are completely invisible when worn. Your aligners will be made of thin, clear plastic that will not affect your appearance or your speech while you wear them. Nobody has to know that you’re straightening your teeth unless you want them to know!

Another benefit of clear aligners is enhanced convenience. You can remove your aligners to brush and floss, which means it’s easier to keep your teeth healthy during treatment. There are also no dietary restrictions, since you’ll remove your aligners to eat and drink.

Overall, clear aligners are also more comfortable than braces, as well. There are no metal components that may poke or irritate your tissue, and clear aligners shift your teeth more gradually and gently compared to braces, minimizing discomfort.
Finally, clear aligners like ClearCorrect often are faster than braces for correcting minor to moderate orthodontic problems. Though this will vary depending on your case, most patients wear ClearCorrect for about a year, while braces usually take 12-18 months or longer to deliver similar results.
